Dewar of Virginia, Incorporated 
 was established in 1991 in Southern West Virginia and to date is still privately  owned and operated by it's founder, Uriah (Shelby) Akers,Jr.   Our West Virginia  location, Dewar Inc., originally  opened it's doors to produce parts for and provide  maintenance on vacuum disc  filters. Even though we still manufacture virtually  any part for vacuum disc filters  and still perform maintenance and upgrades on  filters, our primary focus is on fabrication and abrasion / corrosion resistant linings of parts for minerals processing plants such as coal, iron ore, aggregate and also utilities plants, such as  power, water, sewer etc. We also perform on-site maintenance, preventative maintenance and general installation projects in any facility.
